All of our tables are constructed on-site, in our workshop, by our own employees. Table tops are planned, sanded and given a resin or lacquer finish. Table bases are finished with lacquer unless otherwise indicated. Table tops and bases are joined toghther using dowel pegs and can be disassembeled and reassembeled for easy moving.
Measurments are in inches. tall x width x depth.
Feel free to call us or email us about any questions you have about our tables... perhaps a more detailed picture would help you decide. We'll email you one. Remember, all tables are one-of-a-kind... they cannot be reproduced.

CALIFORNIA LAUREL: Umbellularia Californica is a large hardwood tree native to California and slightly into sothern Oregon. It smells nice and it's pretty too. We use it for our clocks, tables and mini tables.
AESCULUS CALIFORNICA: California Buckeye
California buckeye is a species of the buckeye plant/tree that is native to California and S.W. Oregon. It is the only buckeye native to these states. Rather involved... the slabs we use for our buckeye tables actually come from the root ball of the tree. They can be as large as sixteen feet in diameter. The trunks of the trees are used for our bases to support the table.
The root ball is removed from the earth and allowed to sit and "weather" for a year or two. This exposure to the heat of summer and the rain and cold of the winter allows leaching of the minerals imbedded in the root ball. The growth of fungi and bacterial action all contribute to the unique coloration found in buckeye. THEN, WE MAKE IT SHINY.
